About Royal Kashmir Hut

Crafted in Kashmir, Loved Worldwide

Royal Kashmir Hut is a trendsetting, multi‑generation house of Kashmiri handicrafts. For four generations, we have manufactured, supplied, and exported authentic Kashmiri products—most notably Pashmina (Cashmere) shawls and hand‑knotted carpets—while staying true to the region’s heritage of fine craftsmanship.

Our Story

Rooted in Kashmir’s storied craft traditions, Royal Kashmir Hut began as a family initiative to keep age‑old techniques alive and accessible to the world. Today, we work closely with several hundred artisans in a cottage‑industry model and are capable of producing several thousand pieces per year, depending on client requirements. Our commitment is simple: modern designs, timeless methods, uncompromised authenticity.

Craft & Techniques

Pashmina Jamawar & Sozni

Pashmina—often called the “king of wools”—is prized worldwide for warmth, fineness, and drape. Our Jamawar pieces feature dense, all‑over patterns; Sozni adds delicate, hand‑embroidered detailing. Each shawl is a work of patience and precision.

Kani Weaving

Originating in the valleys of Kashmir, Kani shawls are woven on handlooms using tiny wooden spools called kanis to create intricate motifs and borders. The result is a luxurious fabric with unmistakable Kashmiri character.

Hand‑Knotted Carpets

Kashmir carpets are handmade and hand‑knotted, primarily in silk or in wool/silk blends. They are renowned for jewel‑tone palettes—sapphire blue, ruby red, emerald green, aquamarine, amethyst, and ivory—and iconic motifs such as paisleychinar (oriental plane tree), and tree‑of‑life.

Standard Sizes: 3’×2’, 4’×2’6”, 5’×3’, 6’×4’, 7’×5’, 10’×8’, 12’×9’, 14’×10’, 15’×12’, 18’×12’. Larger sizes are typically custom‑made.

  • Artisan Network: Several hundred skilled artisans working within a cottage‑industry ecosystem
  • Capacity: Capable of several thousand units annually (based on style and complexity)
